Volunteer Service Information

  • “Volunteer Service” Is defined as a voluntary activity undertaken to improve the quality of life for citizens in the community.

    Students who earn 100 or more volunteer service hours per school year (June-April) will be awarded a Superintendent’s Volunteer Service Award during their class end-of-year awards ceremony each year.  You may receive this award one or multiple times while you are in high school.

    Seniors earning a total of 100 or more hours of volunteer service during high school prior to the end of March of their senior year will be recognized in the graduation program and permitted to wear a green cord during their graduation ceremony. (*Note- Seniors may earn a Green Cord as well as the Superintendent’s Volunteer Service Award their senior year if they complete 100 hours that school year.)
