Irving native Heather Ashley was
elected to the Irving ISD Board of Trustees in May 2009.
Her involvement with Irving
ISD began as a student at Good Elementary School. She attended Austin
Middle School and Irving High School, and earned a Bachelor of Arts
degree in music and political science from Randolph-Macon Woman’s
College in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Ms.
Ashley returned to Texas to earn a Master of Public Service &
Administration degree from Texas A&M University, and she currently works
as choral and instrumental music specialist at Pender’s Music Company in
Dallas.
Ms.
Ashley has served on the IISD District Improvement Committee, Good
Campus Improvement Committee, and serves as the pianist at Trinity
Baptist Church in Lewisville.
