Student Council and want to be of service to my school and
community. I agree to
the time commitment involved in being a Student Council
Representative and understand that each month I will have to meet a
minimum point requirement to stay an active member.
I pledge that I will be a positive role-model for my peers and
maintain ethical and leadership qualities, in and out of school.

and rules for discipline for being a Representative and agree to
abide by these regulations.

Membership Requirements
To become a candidate for representative, all members shall:
1.
have had an overall
2.
have had an “A” in citizenship the semester prior to his/her
candidacy.
To maintain membership, all members shall:
1.
maintain an “70” academic average.
2.
maintain an “A” citizenship average in all classes.
3.
maintain a good citizenship record by never having been assigned
alternative school or suspended from school.
4.
meet set minimum point requirements for each month.
Representatives
Student Council Representatives shall:
1.
attend council meetings
2.
meet point requirements for each month
3.
be an active member of one Student Council committee
Point System
Each member of the Student Council will be evaluated to determine
active membership.
Section 1.
Members
1.
Any member who does not meet point requirements will be on probation
the following month in which he/she must obtain 10 extra points to
remain an active voting member.
If the probationary terms are not met, the member will be
removed and will have to “work on” again as a new member.
2.
Any member who fails a course for a six-week period will be put on
probation for the next six-week period.
If he/she fails a course in the next grading period, he/she
will be removed from Student Council.
3.
Any member who is in possession or uses tobacco, alcohol, and/or
other narcotics will be automatically removed from Student Council
and from the Leadership class without possibility of reinstatement.
4.
Any member who engages in conduct that results in assignment to an
alternative education program will be automatically removed from
Student Council and from the Leadership class without possibility of
reinstatement. |
