Chess club meets informally (no attendance roll taken) at The Academy of Irving ISD campus in a quiet corner classroom#202 on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:30P.M. to 4. Chess enthusiasts of any level may enjoy a fun and challenging game of chess, hosted by Academy school teachers/Chess Club sponsors Mr. Mc Calip and Mr. Smith.


The books listed on this shelfari websites are a combination of books of professional and personal interest to me (Mr. Smith) alone and as such, the books listed here are in no any way an endorsement or, for that matter required reading for any Irving ISD student. This shelf serves only as an offering of selections pertaining to those who wish to immerse themselves in "all things chess."
