Educator of the Year Award for Irving ATPE
Ms. Deb Bellew, Bowie math teacher, received the Educator of the
Year Award for Irving ATPE February, 25, 2010. She is also one of three
teachers in the finals for the 2009-10 Educator of the Year in the
Association of Texas Professional Educators Secondary Category.

Grant
Recipient
Ginger Curtis, math teacher and coach was the recipient of the
A Day Made Better Grant. A Day Made Better was October 6, 2009. This is
a one-day event that awards more than 1,100 teachers across the United
States with over $1,000 in school supplies. Office Max joined with
Adopt-A-Classroom to create this award. Teachers spend an average of $1,000
of their own money on classroom supplies.

Irving Schools Foundation Grant Recipient
Kimberly Leitko, 7th grade English teachers, was awarded a
grant to attend the "Hooked on Meaning" workshop by Barry Lane.
