Not necessarily. Funding opportunities are posted in the table
below as I become aware of them.
- Should I apply for all of the funding opportunities listed on
the Opportunities page?
Again, not necessarily. Being listed in this table does not
guarantee that the opportunities are appropriate for all programs.
- I have a question about one of the funding opportunities listed
on the Opportunities page. Can you answer my question?
Maybe. If your question is program-specific, you should know that I
do not research details about each program before posting. Please
visit the link listed for each program to find more information.
If, however, you have a general question about writing grants that
might be applicable to any program you apply for, please send me an
e-mail and allow me at least 24 hours to respond to you.
- Are there other funding opportunities available in addition to
the ones listed on the Opportunities page?
Absolutely! This list cannot be considered an exhaustive list of
all funding opportunities available. You should view the Information
Sources page to locate other grant seeking lists. Be sure to let me
know if you find a good funder that is not yet on the Information
Sources list.
- Who should I inform that I am submitting a proposal for
funding?
Always clear your proposal with your immediate supervisor and/or
campus principal first.
Next, e-mail me with a description of your program. I will respond
with the names of those others who need to be informed. I will also
let you know about district guidelines for new personnel, matching
funds, grant-related travel, etc. that may apply to your proposal.
Be aware that some funders allow only one funding request per district
per year. We have had occasions when a proposal submitted by a
single campus has blocked a proposal that would benefit the whole
district.
To make it easier to submit proposal information to me, complete the
online form found on the Proposal Submission page (not available
yet - 10 Sep 2004).
