    Irving ISD is excited to connect, engage and share with families through a new communications tool, LivingTree. LivingTree will simplify communication and coordination between all the people participating in your children’s daily development.  It’s a network created by parents for parents.   •  de Zavala Teacher Named NAAC Finalist

    Elise Long

    Elise Long, an eighth-grade English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) 8th grade ELAR teacher at de Zavala Middle School and Quality Act Participant, has been selected as one of five finalists for the National Association for Alternative Certification (NAAC) Outstanding Intern Awards.


    The NAAC recognizes exemplary teachers who are participating in or have recently completed a non-traditional teacher preparation program.


    Congratulations to Ms. Long, and we wish her the best as she she competes to become the finalist chosen to attend and participate in the NAAC annual conference in New Orleans in March.
