	Approved unaudited financial statement for August 2008 reflecting total revenue of $220,165,058 and total expenditures of $212,563,650.
	Approved Resolution & Order #08-09-04 accepting supplements to Irving ISD tax rolls.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-27 authorizing purchase of HIPPY program materials from Connelly-3-Publishing Group, Inc. in order to increase literacy, oral language development, and to provide parent support for preschool children.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-28 accepting proposal and authorizing purchase of dumpsters and refuse removal services from Standard Waste Systems, Ltd. for a per month cost of $10,575.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-29 authorizing purchase of the online resource Gale’s Virtual Reference Library of 1,399 titles from Gale Cengage Learning at a total cost not to exceed $253,357.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-30 authorizing purchase of library materials from vendors awarded under RFP #07-44 for a total cost not to exceed $827,000.
	Approved Texas Education Agency General State Waiver for pregnancy-related services to allow on-campus Compensatory Education Home Instruction.
	Approved the Investment Capital Fund, Cycle 18 grant submission to Texas Education Agency for Austin Middle School to provide funds for activities that promote increased student achievement on TAKS tests.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-31 accepting two changes in the District Awards for Teacher Excellence plan relating to non-TAKS grade level teachers and teacher mentoring of students and parents.
	Approved schematic design for Johnston Elementary School renovations and additions 2007 Bond Construction Project in order to proceed with design development phase and creation of construction cost estimates.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-32 accepting Design Development Phase for Irving High School, Administration Annex, and Food Service Center Bond Construction Projects at a preliminary cost estimate of $12,475,334.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-33 authorizing Change Order #1 for 2007 Security Systems Initiative providing $52,542 for the installation of 55 power-over-ethernet devices to support data transfer from security cameras to security computer servers.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-34 accepting Construction Documents Phase for Hanes Elementary School Bond Construction Project at an estimated cost of $4,970,583.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-35 accepting Construction Documents Phase for Ratteree Career Development Center Bond Construction Project at an estimated cost of $1,654,209.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-36 accepting Construction Documents Phase for Irving Schools Stadium Bond Construction Project at an estimated cost of $5,549,984.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-38 accepting second reading and adoption of TASB Update 83 and other local policies CCA, CCA (Exhibit), CQ, EG, and FEC.
	Approved resolution # 08-09-39 amending TASB Update 83 Policy FO (Local) prohibiting the use of corporal punishment and holding the policy for first reading at a later date.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-37 pertaining to the election, removal and resignation of personnel.
	Conducted a public hearing regarding the district Superior Achievement rating awarded by the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas.
	Received report on grants submitted throughout 2007-2008 and current value of grant money in use totaling $8,931,060.
	Scheduled Thursday, October 23 at 6:30 p.m. for Board Work Session to discuss revised funding of 2007 Bond Construction Projects.
