	Approved Financial Statement for March 2009.
	Approved Resolution & Order #08-09-21 authorizing May amendment to the 2008-2009 Budget, increasing total revenue to $280,988,912 and increasing total appropriations to $282,769,931.
	Approved Resolution & Order #08-09-22 accepting supplements to the Irving ISD Tax Rolls.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-141 acknowledging the IISD Investment Policy has been reviewed and revised as required by Public Funds Investment Act.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-142 authorizing broker dealers Vining Sparks, Smith Barney, First Public, First Southwest, and UBS Financial Services to sell securities to Irving ISD as recommended by investment committee and as required by the Public Funds Investment Act.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-143 accepting proposal CSP #09-22 for digital full dome planetarium system equipment and installation from Audio Visual Imagineering, Inc., at a total cost of $155,500.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-144 accepting proposals of qualifications and selecting qualified firms for HVAC system air and water testing and balancing, system investigations and reports.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-145 accepting proposals of qualifications and selecting qualified firms for geotechnical investigation and report, construction period materials testing, property environment assessment, and on-site testing and investigations.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-146 accepting proposal from E-Logic, Inc., DWW Abatement, Inc., and ARC Abatement I, Ltd., as primary, secondary and tertiary vendors, respectively, for asbestos and mold abatement activities at an annual cost not to exceed $490,000.
	Approved planned expenditures for Title I American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) stimulus funds in the amount of $6,462,607, and IDEA ARRA stimulus funds in the amount of $6,896,851.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-147 authorizing the supplemental education services (SES) contract to be used if parents of qualifying students wish to choose an SES provider.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-148 renewing the Epic Learning System dual-credit program for five IISD high schools.
	Approved Resolution & Order #08-09-23 amending multi-year construction budget and 2007-2008 capital projects budget in order to reallocate additional funding of $100,000 to MacArthur High School bond construction project from The Academy of Irving ISD bond construction project.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-149 authorizing Change Order #1 and amending construction manager’s contract for The Academy of Irving ISD bond construction project decreasing the Academy cost by $100,000.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-150 authorizing Change Order #1 and amending construction manager’s contract for the MacArthur High School bond construction project to reallocate $100,000 of excess funding from The Academy of Irving ISD construction project and $235,449 of surplus funding from other areas of the MacArthur project to complete four additional construction items.

	Approved Resolution #08-09-157 recognizing 44 years of service in Irving ISD by Jack E. Singley, retired superintendent of schools.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-158 accepting the recommendations of the Jack Singley Celebrations Committee in hosting a retirement celebration May 31; renaming The Academy of Irving ISD to the Jack E. Singley Academy; naming the press box at the Irving Schools Stadium as the Jack E. Singley Press Box at Irving Schools Stadium; all 2009 IISD graduates will wear a maroon cord in honor of Singley in addition to other cords they have earned; in 2010 and beyond, the white community service award cord for qualifying graduates will be named the Jack E. Singley Community Service Award; consider construction of a statue to be located at the IISD Administration Building; and fully endow the Jack Singley scholarship offered through the Irving Schools Foundation.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-159 renaming The Academy of Irving ISD to the Jack E. Singley Academy.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-160 naming the press box at Irving Schools Stadium to Jack E. Singley Press Box at Irving Schools Stadium.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-161 accepting proposals from M&A Technology for CSP #09-24 for 4,600 1000HE Netbook laptop computers to replace out-of-warranty units at a total cost of $2,826,200.
	Approved Resolution & Order #08-09-24 and #08-09-25 pertaining to 2009-2010 salary schedules for all employees other than teachers and classified personnel with a 4.5% average increase.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-138 authorizing a boundary change for Townsell Elementary School to re-zone approximately 100 students to the Thomas Haley Elementary School attendance area with the exception, at parents’ discretion, of fourth grade students transitioning to fifth grade who may complete their fifth grade year at Townsell.
	Approved the 2009-2010 District Improvement Plan.
	Approved Resolution #08-09-162 pertaining to the election and resignation of personnel as recommended by the interim superintendent of schools.
