for IISD employees under the CIGNA Medical Benefit Plan.
The original plan redesign was intended to help reduce the deficit
the IISD self-funded insurance program has experienced over the past
several years, but it has had the unintended result of a very high
cost to the employee for certain expensive prescriptions. The
amendment caps the employee’s expense for each prescription filed at
a threshold of $1,000 with a retroactive effective date of September
1, 2006. |
