Trustees Recognized for Service
Students and staff
honored Irving ISD trustees with a book, calendar and stainless steel
mug in keeping with the statewide observance of School Board Recognition
Month. Students representing all seven middle schools – Austin, Bowie,
Crockett, de Zavala, Houston, Lamar and Travis – stated the duties of
the Board of Trustees and thanked the board members for their service to
the community.

and stainless steel mug to Trustee Barbara Cardwell in honor

disclosures. The resolution would support legislation that would
require mandatory real property sales disclosure. |

Approved minutes of Noon Work
Session and Regular Board Meeting on Monday, December 11, 2006. |

Approved Resolution #06-07-42
approving renewal of the master consulting services agreement and
statements of work with the Gallup Organization for consulting
services (TeacherInsight and PrincipalInsight) in the amount of
$28,067 for TeacherInsight and $6,150 for PrincipalInsight to be
paid by Title II federal funds. Both are online interview tools used
during the hiring process. |

Approved Resolution #06-07-43
approving an interlocal agreement with Dallas County Schools for
technology services through DeepNines Inc. in the amount of $13,560
per year for three years. The services provide threat management
capabilities for the IISD network. |
 |
Approved Resolution #06-07-44
approving a memorandum of understanding between the Department of
Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) and Irving ISD. The
agreement will facilitate the development of a coordinated approach
for successful employment outcomes for students with significant
disabilities who will be graduating or leaving high school. |
 |
Approved Resolution #06-07-45
accepting bid for physics lab equipment from Vernier Software &
Technology in the amount of $26,091 to be paid out of bond funds. |
 |
Approved Resolution #06-07-50
selecting competitive sealed proposals as the method of procurement
for installation of tennis court lighting at MacArthur. |

Approved Resolution #06-07-46 for
final payment application and closeout documentation for Lamar
Renovations Bond Construction Project. |
 |
Approved Resolution #06-07-47 final
payment application and closeout documentation for Austin
Renovations Bond Construction Project. |
 |
Approved Resolution #06-07-48
authorizing purchase of Early College Program from sole-source
vendor Early College in the amount of $91,872. The dual credit
program was successfully piloted at the Academy and will be expanded
to the other three high schools. |
