Approved Resolution #06-07-64 accepting proposal and awarding contract for athletic scoreboards from Olen Williams Inc. in the amount of $111,850. This covers 13 scoreboards at various campuses.

Approved Resolution #06-07-65 accepting proposal and awarding contract for tennis court lighting at MacArthur from Case Electric Inc. in the amount of $32,705.

Approved Resolution #06-07-66 to reject proposals and authorize seeking of competitive sealed proposals for stadium scoreboard and message boards. This will allow for the inclusion of signage options at the Administration Building and Crockett.

Approved Resolution #06-07-67 rescinding resolutions 06-07-34 and 06-07-35 and authorizing purchase of vehicles on the state contract through an interlocal agreement with the Texas Building & Procurement Commission. The new contract total cost is $108,234 through two vendors.

Approved class size waiver for spring semester 2007. Seven elementary campuses have a total of 12 classes exceeding the 22:1 limit required by the state. The 12 classes not in compliance are from a total of 695 elementary classrooms in IISD. The usual reasons why districts request a class size waiver are shortage of facilities, shortage of teachers, and unanticipated enrollment growth.

Approved Resolution #06-07-68 accepting gifts and donations to the district in the amount of $37,934 for December and January, for a year-to-date total of $81,717.
