Speakers Sought for Career Days

The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the 11th Annual Business Exchange Days event in February to benefit Irving ISD high school juniors and seniors. It will be held February 8 at Irving and MacArthur high schools and February 8-9 at The Academy of IISD.

Business professionals are encouraged to sign up as a speaker for the popular event, which gives students the opportunity to hear from local business professionals about various careers. Each year, the event attracts guest speakers from fields such as technology, entrepreneurship, communications, graphic arts, finance, medicine and education to share their experiences with classes at IISD high schools.

More than 160 speakers have been requested by teachers this year. For a complete list of speaker topics, refer to www.irvingisd.net/pie/articles/HSCareerDays.htm.

For more information about the specific classes, contact Thelma Cantu at tcantu@irvingisd.net.
