Facilities Services

The facilities services department of the Irving ISD (consisting of the Facilities Department and the Security and Operations Department) provides the greatest possible support to educators, students, and the community within the District.  The Irving Independent School District, encompassing 45.7 square miles, provides educational services to approximately 32,836 students.  The District consists of 44 permanent facilities and 100 single-classroom portable buildings totaling 4,422,026 square feet. All facilities lie on 559.32 acres of District property.  

The facilities services department serves as the District's largest support service organization in terms of personnel and budget.  The facilities services department consists of 297 full-time employees, with a total operating budget of  $19,331,196.  The department maintains all facilities in terms of maintenance and repair, grounds care, custodial services, energy management, security services, transportation, construction, and warehousing.

Kelly Horn
Director of Facilities

Kelly Horn began his career with the Irving Independent School District in May, 2002 as the Construction Project Manager for the department.  He was promoted to the position of Director of Facilities in June, 2006.  Kelly graduated from Texas A&M University in December, 1990 where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Engineering in Industrial Distribution.

 


J. Pat Lamb
Director of Security and Operations

J. Pat Lamb began his career in December, 1995 as the Operations Manager.  He was promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Security and Operations in 2001 and promoted again in June, 2006 to the position of Director of Security and Operations.  Pat received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Tech University in 1983, and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University in 1986.
