The Pierce Early Childhood School custodial crew was selected by the Operations Department as Campus of the Month for June 2008.

We’ve listed information that hopefully gives you a good picture of who we are and what services we provide for our district ... Within the larger Security and Operations department, ours is the largest team of employees with 177 full-time members. As well, during the school year, we employ up to 25 substitute custodians. Recycling

Diana Tatum
Operations Manager

Ms. Tatum was employed by the District in July, 1989, as a substitute custodian.  After working in a number of schools as a night custodian, she was promoted to the position of Night Lead Supervisor in 1992, serving the students and staff at Elliott Elementary.  While there, she was recognized with the Texas PTA Life Membership award.  She was promoted to the position of Custodial Coordinator in 1997, and in 2002 she again was promoted to the position of Lead Custodial Coordinator.  Ms. Tatum assumed her current position as Operations Manager in July, 2006.  Her duties and responsibilities include the daily cleaning of nearly 5 million square feet of building space and the leadership and management of a team of nearly 200 custodial members (including substitute custodians).”
