    • Choir tryouts will take place in the music room on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (August 29-31) from 3:30-4:15 PM. Students will need to have a ride home by 4:30 PM. Any 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade student wanting to try out for the Farine choir will need to prepare a short song that is not a rap or hip-hop. Results will be posted on Thursday, September 1st. (This is updated information from the letter that went home on Monday.

    • College Colors Day is Friday, September 2nd. College Colors Day is an annual celebration dedicated to promoting college-readiness as well as the traditions and spirit that embody the college experience by encouraging fans across America to wear their favorite college colors or gear. Irving ISD is excited to participate in this fun, district wide event that is focused on college readiness. All students and employees are encouraged to dress in their favorite college attire on Friday, September 2nd. Tax Ratification Election: September 10

  • The Irving ISD Board of Trustees is asking voters to consider a penny exchange that could generate $10+ million in additional state aid while maintaining the same overall tax rate.
