Free Food for Your Students?

(ATTN:  Principals)  Through the After School Snack Program, the IISD Food Service Department can provide free snacks (in nearly all cases) to your students who are involved in after school academic programs.

To qualify, your after school program must meet these criteria:

  1. it must be open to all students

  2. it must include education or enrichment activities in organized, structured and supervised environments

  3. it must operate after the end of the regular school day

  4. it must meet/occur regularly for the duration of the program

  5. it must have a means of determining that children are present on the days of the program (such as a roster, sign-in sheet, etc.)

Note that programs that include supervised athletic activity along with education or enrichment activities may participate in this program; however, organized athletic programs engaged in interscholastic sports cannot be approved

To apply for the IISD After School Snack Program, simply complete the application form on this site, and fax it to the Food Service Department (972 273-6906) or interoffice mail the completed form to the Food Service Office.  Applications MUST be submitted a minimum of two weeks prior to the start of the program.  The person identified on the application form as the “contact person” will be notified of the approval or dis-approval of the application in a timely manner.

We look forward to serving your students, who are engaged in after school academic/enrichment programs, healthy and delicious snacks!  Apply today!
