T.J. Lee Elementary School  Declared a National “Best Fat Fighter”

The January 2008 edition of Scholastic Administrator’s magazine has recognized T.J. Lee Elementary School for their accomplishments in helping students make healthy eating and lifestyle choices.  In their annual “Best and Worst” column, Scholastic Administrator magazine declared T.J. Lee as a “Best Fat Fighter” in the country.  T.J. Lee elementary school, in partnership with the IISD Food Service Department, was the first school in Texas to earn the USDA “Silver School” (2006) and the USDA “Gold School” (2007) awards.
