and Lee parents and students)
Attend Foodservice's
parent’s/teacher’s night at your school and learn
about health and eating well. If you are one
of the parents or students who attended Brandenburg
Elementary School’s “Meet & Greet Night” event on Tuesday,
August 22nd, or Lee Elementary School’s “Meet the
Teacher Night” on Tuesday, August 29th, you got
to do just that!
In addition to meeting teachers, touring
the two respective schools, and visiting with the
outstanding employees of Brandenburg and Lee elementary
schools, many parents and their children visited the Food
Service Department’s booth. Once there, they learned about
proper portion sizes, received tips for the entire family on
eating well and being physically active, and picked up
numerous kid-friendly recipes. Some parents/guardians even
took a moment and completed their 2006-2007 application for
free/reduced-price meals.
Food Service Department
employees were thrilled to participate in these two
elementary school events. For our students to be at their
best, they need both good eating habits and regular
exercise. As families learn more about health and eating
well, they can help ensure that their children are fit and
ready to learn in school.
