Free Student Breakfasts, Prizes

March 8-12, 2010

In celebration of National School Breakfast Week, March 8-12, 2010, the Irving ISD Food Service Department is offering FREE breakfasts to all secondary school students, and special prizes at breakfast time for elementary and early childhood students.

Secondary students will still go to the cafeteria for their breakfasts and will still have to use their school ID or enter their ID number.  After doing so, however, their breakfast will be free, for the entire week of March 8-12, 2010!

Early childhood and elementary school students will still receive free breakfasts as they usually do, but included with each breakfast will be a special give-away that reinforces good health and nutrition.  Breakfasts at Irving ISD early childhood and elementary schools are already served daily at no charge to students.

The IISD Food Service Department hopes that this special promotion will reinforce to students the critical importance of starting the day with a healthy breakfast.
