the kids of Irving! (June 6-7, 2013)
The Brandel Chamblee Irving Charity Golf
Tournament combines four major charities in
Irving that work tirelessly to make sure
kids have a bright and healthy future in
Irving. The Irving YMCA, Irving Schools
Foundation, Irving Healthcare Foundation
and Irving Las Colinas Rotary Club have
teamed up to battle four major areas of
focus for our youth: childhood obesity,
school readiness/college funding, at-risk
teens and innovative school programs.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Dana Bedden,
superintendent of schools, whose address was
"State of the District".
Legacy Brick
Plaza
 The Legacy Brick Plaza, located
near the Irving Schools Stadium main
entrance will be a prominent Irving ISD
landmark and source of pride to Irving
ISD students, staff, alumni, and
partners.
The centerpiece of
the Legacy Plaza is 1,980 bricks with each
one bearing the name of the honoree. An
alumnus may purchase a brick to commemorate
his or her school years, a parent may honor
a graduate or future graduate, or an alumnus
may honor a teacher. A Legacy brick is a
permanent means to honor an individual,
group, or corporation that is special to
you.
