ABOUT Mandy
Hamilton
Mandy Hamilton is a
professional with over 10 years experience
in the nonprofit sector. Her work in this
market has given her a breadth of knowledge
which she translates into successful
programs and initiatives to move nonprofit
organizations forward.
Mandy began her nonprofit
career with Best Buddies International; it
was there that she developed a love for the
nonprofit industry and a passion to make a
difference. She spent most of her career
with the American Heart Association moving
her from Associate Director to Senior
Director for their program, Train to End
Stroke, a marathon training fundraising
program in both Texas and Florida. After
moving back to Irving, she accepted a
position as National Director for MADD,
where she was responsible for executing
stimulating programming and substantial
revenue generation to exceed organizational
goals across the country. Over the past 10
years, Mandy has generated over 20 million
dollars for local and national
organizations.
Mandy currently serves
her community as a member on the Executive
Board for the Women’s Auxiliary to
Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, a
member of the Board of Directors for the
Miss Dallas Organization, co-chair for the
Kilgore College Rangerette Alumni
organization, an official ambassador for the
American Stroke Association, a certified
Victim Advocate for MADD, and a Big Sister
in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and
a member of the Association of Fundraising
Professionals and National Association of
Female Executives. In 2007, Mandy was
nominated and voted after a three week
online poll as one of Dallas’ 10 most
beautiful women by D Magazine. The magazine
also quoted her as “a non-profit’s dream”
noting her appreciation and love to give
back.
Before receiving her B.A.
in Psychology from the University of North
Texas, Mandy fulfilled a lifelong dream of
performing as a world famous Kilgore College
Rangerette while completing her first two
years of college.
Committed to her alma
mater, Mandy is thrilled to be back in her
hometown of Irving to serve as the Irving
Schools Foundation’s Executive Director.
“The strength, confidence, and knowledge I
gained growing up in IISD from ages 6-18,
has shaped me to reach for the stars and
never give up. I look forward to giving back
to our zealous students and dedicated
teachers.” – Mandy Hamilton
