Parent Literacy - Creating a literate community: I. Scheduled Library Family Nights 2. Literature from the U.S. Dept. of Education Homework Tips for Parents, Put Reading First, Helping your Preschool Child, Helping your child Succeed in School, Helping your child with Homework, Helping your child through Early Adolescence 3. Two scheduled Book Fairs (Fall and Spring) 4. Parents are informed of and encouraged to participate in the state and national reading programs 5. Families are always invited to attend campus and district sponsored events 6. Parents have open access to the library resources and technologies 7.
