JOHN R. GOOD Theatre Arts

The Theatre Arts program began at John R. Good in 2006 to give students a place where they can learn to be creative in all aspects of their lives. It challenges students' perceptions of themselves and the world. In class they have the opportunity to "become" someone else and see the world through new eyes. This instills a sense of empathy for others thus creating responsible citizens. Drama allows students to feel more comfortable with public speaking. It is a great environment for second language learners too! Students learn to work together as a team to attain their goal. Drama also reinforces the rest of the school curriculum but disguises it as great fun!  We act out stories, do puppetry, write plays, learn to pantomime, do reader's theatre, and a whole lot more!
