Title 1

Basic Information about title one:

ü       It is funded by the federal government.

ü       It began in 1965, under the administration of Lyndon Johnson.

ü       Funding is allocated based upon the number of students participating in the free and reduced lunch program.

ü       Campuses use the funding to assist all students in order to perform successfully in all academic areas.

ü       Parent involvement is an essential part of a successful Title 1 program.
