Selection

After the GT Campus Screening/Selection Committee reviews all of the information within each student nominee's profile, the Committee selects candidates that are in the superior to very superior range in two of the three criteria for EACH academic area.

Students who qualify for the Gifted and Talented Program must score in the 90th percentile in two of the three criteria to qualify for each academic area.

• Aptitude/Reasoning

• Product portfolio that demonstrates gifted & talented qualities within reading and writing.

• Mathematics Achievement

• Aptitude/Reasoning

• Product portfolio that demonstrates gifted and talented qualities within mathematics.

• Social Science Achievement

• Aptitude/Reasoning

• Product portfolio that demonstrates gifted and talented qualities within social science/humanities.
