No one ever said that
being a parent was going to be easy. Handling young teenagers and their
issues at school as well as meeting the every day needs of looking after a
family can often take a toll, leaving parents feeling helpless. What most parents forget is that many of the Texan staff are not only teachers but parents as well. There are many times we know of resources on-line that can help get families moving in a secure direction. The following links contain lists of counseling services that Irving ISD counselors and parents have compiled. Neither Houston Middle School nor Irving ISD endorses any of the programs. We strongly recommend using all available resources. Irving ISD also offers a valuable resource guide through its Department of Heath Services.
