Some of the benefits for paraprofessionals are:

Camaraderie, increased morale, information for their job performance, value as a team player, and a better understanding and appreciation for their contribution to Irving ISD.

Patty Notgrass, Principal, Lively Elementary states:

“Our paraprofessionals are a very important part of our teams. They give support to us as we educate our students. In turn, as principals and administrators, we should support them in their organizational efforts such as IAEOP. Their organization gives them the opportunity to network with their peers, learn and grow. IAEOP is their professional learning community.”

Thank you for being a very important part to the success of IAEOP.

Upcoming Conferences

We just received information from TESA that registration for their fall conference is posted on their webpage.  It is being held in San Marcos on November 5-7, 2010.  Click this link for further information.

The TESA summer conference will be held in Frisco on June 22-25, 2011.  They will be posting further information in March 2011 on that conference.

These are both wonderful opportunities for paraprofessionals and hopefully one of these will fit your schedule.
