| CLASSROOM TIP:
Prevent your computer mouse balls from being lost by super-gluing the
ball
cover to mouse back. A good deterrent to keep your mice from being
stolen is to safety-tie your
mouse (and other) cables to the back of the desktop case. |

WINDOWS UPDATES |
|
|
|
Your teacher laptops
are set to automatically check for and download Windows updates.
However, if you have a home computer that is not automatically set for
updates, frequently check the Microsoft site for critical updates. One
recent release is a particularly
useful tool which removes malicious software. |

PHISHING ALERT! |
| |
|
The new email trick is
to convince good people into voluntarily giving the bad guys their
credit card information. The process is called PHISHING (fishing) for
information. I have seen the very convincing email from Ebay and PayPal
asking to verify the email recipient’s credit card information.
No one should ever give their credit
card to an unknown company. Please be on the alert about
this form of Identity Theft.
If you receive an email asking for information please delete it.
