The books in the Johnston library are read and study repeatedly by our
students. Each book is subject to normal wear and tear. Books that disintegrate
and fall apart due to normal use are replaced at library expense.
However, items that are damaged or lost due to negligence on the student's
part are that student's responsibility. Any book or other item that is
torn, wet, scribbled on, has food stains, etc. will be replaced at the student's
expense, as are books that are lost or misplaced. A library print-out will
be sent home indicating the replacement cost of the item(s). Money may be
returned to the library, in a timely fashion, in the form of cash or a personal
check (including driver license number).
