| The Families Reading Together Program was
established at Kinkeade Early Childhood School in 2000, through a grant
written by Patty Notgrass and Kristi Betts. The initial grant for
$19,000 was funded through the Irving School's Foundation. Annually,
parents are invited to attend a one hour session to learn techniques they
can use at home when reading to their child(ren). Each family is
presented a handout of information and activities they can use at home and
a set of books to add to their family library at home. |
