Client Installation:
1. Before you're
able to access Kronos Workforce Central® you must install the Java
2 Runtime
Environment plug-in. This plug-in will be pushed down to your local pc on the first initial
logon.
2. Please follow the on-screen installation instructions and select
the application defaults.
3. Once the installation is complete open the Windows Control Panel
and double click on the Java
Plug-in icon.
4. Go to the Browser Tab and un-check Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Click apply and exit.
**By making this change it allows for
older versions of Java to still run within Internet Explorer.
This step is very important for legacy
applications such as Bridge to
still function properly.

Logon Procedures:
1. The password has been set to "password" by default. Once you logon, you will be instructed to
change your password to your choice.
2. The new password must have a minimum of six characters.
3. Periodically, you will be instructed to change your password.
Using the Kronos Clock:
Instead of using the computer
time stamp option, you can use the Kronos clock located in your campus
cafeteria.
1. Hit the " * " key
2. Enter your 4 digit
Employee number with leading zeroes
3. Hit the "enter" key
Note: The Kronos Workforce Central® HTML Client uses the time of the database server for the clock
display and to record time stamps. The recorded time is not the time of the computer you are using.
You cannot change the time recorded by adjusting the time on your pc.
Navigating Workforce
Central® HTML Client Version 5.0:
1. Using a Browser
a. Back and Forward buttons
can cause a "Warning - Page Expired" message to appear.
You should use
the Kronos Workforce Timekeeper navigation controls
instead of the browser's back and forward
buttons.
b. Refresh (Reload) button reloads the Kronos Workforce
HTML Client. You will lose any edits that you
made since the last
time you saved the information. It does not refresh the Kronos Workforce
HTML
Client pages.
2. Browser Settings
a. The Kronos Workforce HTML Client requires
the following settings for optimum viewing: - Your monitor
should
be at least 1024x768 (or 800x600 with scroll bars) 16-bit resolution.
b. If you use pop-up blocking software you must configure
it to allow the Workforce HTML Client.
3. Using online help
a. All Kronos Workforce HTML Client components include
online help.

Select the help link located
in the upper-right corner of the workspace header to obtain the help
page.
