Collaborative Planning
The librarians are planning on stepping up our collaborative work with teachers every year. I hope you are eager to do some team teaching with me! I’d like for everyone to have a personal goal to plan on using the library with your students at least once a year, if not once a semester.
Remember that there a many ways to use the library: · bring students for research · Internet research projects (which might involve scheduling laptops) · checking out books and magazines for recreational reading or research · get a cart of resources to use in your room for an assignment · skills lessons (like using the databases) · schedule me to read to your kids (in library or classroom) · author visits · booktalks · one of your TechFusion projects
Library Classes
Let me continue to solicit my services as a librarian to you. I can teach many different things to your students if you are interested in having me do that. Here are a few examples:
· Using the Library Catalog · Using the Library Website · Researching in the Library (with books and databases) · Researching on the Internet (with databases) · Power Point · Moviemaker or Photostory · Publisher Documents · Web 2.0 sites
Contact me to get on the calendar at least a couple of days in advance if possible! |
