2008 After-Prom "Senior Spectacular" Update

Dear Class of 2008 Parents,

As you know, The MacArthur “After-Prom” committee is in full swing raising money for this year’s After Prom event, the 2008 Senior Spectacular.  This year’s event will be held at Dallas Speed Zone on May 10, 2008 following the MacArthur HS Senior Prom.  The Senior Spectacular will include all the activities that Speed Zone offers including racing, video games, miniature golf, henna tattoos, sketch artists, skeet ball, billiards and more! 

A total of $15,000 to $20,000 must be raised to provide a fun evening of celebration.  Thus far, we have raised 25% of the money needed to make this event happen.  To reach this goal, we need your help.  You can help by volunteering for one (or more!) of the following activities:

• Fundraising – help with events including:
  • Chik-Fil-A sales
  • the golf tournament
  • “Croppers Scrapbook Party”
  • and more!
• Donate water for the Chik-Fil-A sales
• Make a monetary donation 

The dates we need your help are as follows: 

            Chik-Fil-A sales:  Feb. 11, Feb. 25, March 10, April 7, April 28, and May 5.

            Water Donations for Chik-Fil-A sales may be taken to room 114 at MAC.

Please join us in making the 2008 Senior Spectacular the best after prom event ever by donating water, your time, and your expertise.  *Students whose parents assist with this event or donate water will earn extra tickets good towards the prize drawings at the Senior Spectacular Event.

The next committee meeting will take place on Sunday, January 27^th at 2 PM.  Please email Ronda Huffstetler at rhuffstetler@irvingisd.net for directions.  Remember there are lots of different ways to participate.  Come join the fun!
