Golf Tournament
to Benefit the Senior Spectacular '08

The MacArthur High School After Prom committee will be hosting a benefit golf tournament on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Indian Creek Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas.  The tournament will benefit the graduating seniors of MacArthur High School by providing a safe place to celebrate.

With your help, we can achieve our goal of raising $18,000.  Donations are accepted or sign-up yourself or a team to play.  Please make checks payable to:  Senior Spectacular ’08 (Memo – After Prom 2008).

Why is the After-Prom Event so important?

The tournament will benefit the graduating seniors of MacArthur High School by providing a safe place to celebrate after-prom.  The Texas Department of Transportation states that each year several students are killed in auto accidents after attending their prom.  In 2006 alone, over 2,000 teenagers were killed in auto accidents that were the result of under age drinking and/or substance abuse.  They attribute this to after prom parties involving alcohol and drugs.  For the last ten years, MacArthur High School senior parents have formed this committee to provide seniors with a safe alternative.

With your support, we can again provide this safe alternative and have a positive impact on the future of the MacArthur High School Class of 2008.  The golf tournament is our primary source of support.  We are a non-profit, tax exempt, 504 (c)(3) operation.  You may become involved as a sponsor and/or playing in our golf tournament.  We hope you will consider sponsorship of our program, and we invite you to come out and join us for this event.
