Student Council Agenda                                            April 5, 2010

  • Introduction of New officers -  President- Mayra, Vice President- Muhammad, Corresponding Secretary- Anne, Treasurer- Jerson, Recording Secretary- Lauren, Historian- Jason, Reporter- Augustine, Pride and Patriotism- Amber, Community Service- Victoria
  • Next meeting – April 19– Bring a friend for points!  (In Auditorium)
  • Class Officer Elections April 14

  Sophomore Class- Reporter, 6 Senators; Junior Class- 5 Senators. If interested talk to Mrs. Martinez

·         Sign up – Show up! -        Don't sign up if you won't show up.

 Treasurer

·         Garage Sale Update -   $3,000 raised; Stuco: $200

·         Senior Breakfast Pizza April 16 -  Sign-Up for it.

Committee Reports

Reporter

o   Toilet Times -  Hang them up in bathroom stalls for the girls and above the urinal for the guys.

o   Photos online - events around the school have pictures of them online so check out the StuCo website.

 Community Service

·         Work sessions count, fill out  community service forms when you turn in point sheets

 Pride and Patriotism

·         Teacher of the Month Nominations - Last Time to nominate a teacher for the rest of the year

o   Janice Battles recognized in March/Jason Lambert February

·         Apple Awards Update -  If, you didn't attend you missed out. It went very good, check out the pictures on StuCo site

·         Be Kind Campaign -  StuCo is starting a new campaign to advise girls to stop gossiping about each other and bracelets will be made; each time you gossip, you switch the bracelet to the other hand.

·         National Library Week April 11

o   Librarians Day April 16 - Sign up to decorate the Library doors

·         Hi 5 Day – April 16 - -Posters needed

·         Soccer Congrats Card – sign - Sign card in support of the Soccer Girls

 DASH

  • Anti-smoking Material Worksheet for PALS

 Write nice notes on the worksheet that encourage the PALS to be drug free and not to smoke.

 Energy and Environment

  • Prom Closet - Donate dresses to StuCo for less fortunate people who are not able to afford them. Drop them off at Ms. Martinez's room.
  • Earth Week – April 19-23 - Need posters-- Moved to next week
