Description: I created my project on Microsoft Paint. I used the Line Tool to draw all of the outlines in my picture, and had to use Define Custom Colors several times in order to get the colors that were perfect. (Not to mention the dropper tool.) I made the sand under the girl’s feet by using a plain tan and going over it with the airbrush tool (brown) in order to make it realistic. The next step was hard because I had to remove all of the unwanted airbrused sand on the children’s legs and feet. I created this project to encourage others to help make the world a better place, and peace on earth. I learned that making a project such as this one takes a lot of work and patience, but it all really pays off.

Peace, Love and Happiness: that is what I feel when I look at this image. As always, you have an uncanny ability to create detail to clothes. It is almost like you breath life into the fabrics.

Wonderful facial expression of peacefulness and happiness give a warm, welcoming feature to this art. As tranquil as the image is protrayed, much technical dedication and meticulous attention to detail were required to deliver these results.

Outstanding use of Paint to create the effect of the sand. I like the airbrush tool, too, because it creates a surface that has dimension in your picture. Your clouds add depth perception to the sky as well. I am very impressed with your artistic creations of the people - what a challenge it is to create the facial shapes and details. Paint is a tool that does not lend itself easily to such detailed work. The use of the artwork for the boys' arms and hands, the girl's tossing the paper - all done with clean lines and attempt to add "motion" to your artwork. Your paragraph describing your process was interesting - using descriptions like "Define Custom Colors" and "Airbrush" show me that you know how to use the software program Paint very well. I am very impressed, Liz, with what you have here, and I hope that you will continue to use your artistic talents to create more intricate works as you develop your skills. Way to go, Liz! Pam Price
