Title: A Change of the Mood of April

Category: original art
Grade Level: 6-8
Description: I created this by getting a camera, and I just started taking pictures of people posing. I then took a picture of a painting that was out in the hall. Then I uploaded them to my file. Then I opened them with Adobe Photo Shop Elements. I used the magnetic lasso tool to outline the pictures of the girls, and then I copied them them into the painting by Charles Burchfield, called An April Mood. I moved the pasted pictures around with the move tool, until I found a good position for them. I decided this picture could represent two girls that loved trees and were happy that some trees survived from the fire. The person behind is a happy girl running to meet them and celebrate the survival of the trees too. Parody: http://www.publaw.com/parody.html

The changes in mood in the project are well represented. The burned trees (death) and the girls (life) are an interesting contrast. The depth of the emotions in the picture reveal many of the artist's moods. This project is very well done.
