1150 Title: Texas Regions Rap |
Category:
digitized audio Grade Level: 4-5 |
| Description: We reasearched the regions of Texas in the textbook and the computer lab. We made a rap by rhyming words about the regions. We used rhyming dictionaries to help us rhyme words. We used a digital keyboard to keep the beat and recorded the song on the computer. Then we edited it to make it sound good and make it shorter. We made this project to enter in the media fair. We learned about the different cities and land in the Texas region. We want other people to learn the special things in those regions in a fun way. | |

Make sure all your words are in time to the beat. Back away from the mic a bit to clear up your spoken audio. I wonder if fading out at the end to zero would enhance this work? Beat sounds off at the end, but I didn't take a metronome to it... |

Very creative! The idea was great and the rap surrounding it was very good. Next time, be sure that your voice track is good and strong before adding another sound like the drums. Also, be sure that you can understand what you are saying. If you can't, then your audience cannot either. Make sure that the music or back beat does not overpower the words. |

I think this is a very creative way to learn about the regions of Texas. I would have liked to be able to hear the words/rap better though and make the beat of the music be lower so that it is more easily understood. |
