Description: We were learning about Thanksgiving and practicing our reading fluency. My teacher translated the book: ”Thanksgiving Day” by Gail Gibbons into Vietnamese for us to read in order to understand about the holiday. She used Audacity to record our voices and then let us know our levels of reading fluency. It was encouraging for me to create this project by using Audacity from my teacher’s laptop. I used Audacity to record my voice, then listened back to know how fluently I read. After learning how to use Audacity, I would like others to use this program to help them recognize their reading fluency. Tien Lu, 3rd grade Schulze Elementary School

Stay the same distance from your mic or wear a headset when speaking. I think intro and outtro music would enhance your work. Maybe Vietnamese music?

This is a very unique project. Although I didn't know what was being said, it flowed very well and was interesting to listen to because of the way the the girl read it, which was excellent.

I do not understand Vietnamese - but your speaking voice was very clear and musical. It would have scored higher if you had added background music or sound effects.

Wow! Great job! I could listen to you for hours. What makes this such a good quality recording is that your voice was so strong and you showed enthusiasm in the reading. The enthusiasm you have come through in your voice and makes the audience want to listen. Your voice at time and cadence has an almost musical quality at times. Just beautiful. Well done!
