Description: The saying that almost all gymnasts hear in life at one time or another is the very common, “When you’re a young gymnast the bar is set very high for you.” I love gymnastics with all my heart and am very devoted to the sport, so it only made sense to write a poem about the 2012 London Olympics. Since I was six I’ve worked very hard and am being told I can make it to the Olympic trials. I live and breathe gymnastics and am in the gym four days a week and a total of 20 hours. My passion has driven me so far in life. I’ve accomplished things I never thought possible. I intend to make my dream come true and will continue working hard. I would love to represent my country in the Olympics, its every athletes dream. I used audacity to record my voice and edited it myself. The song I chose was called Pilgrims and Soldiers. When I edited it I had to double the time of the music to make it fit. I also changed the volume of the music two times to express the tone of the poem.

Slow down. I suggest fading in from zero sound and fading out to zero sound. What to start the increase in sound at the end until you are done speaking. This is superb! I think you must be a professional podcaster too!

This is excellent. It's great you have been able to put your dreams into words and express yourself so eloquently here. The music choice also works very well with the poem.
