21 Title: Discussions To Last A Lifetime |
Category:
photography Grade Level: 11-12 |
| Description: When I went to my great-grandparents’ house in April 2008, my main objective was to take pictures of my great-grandfather, which I did; however, I caught a great shot of my Memaw, Pawpaw, and Gran whenever they were taking out old pictures and discussing them. I’m happy to have gotten this shot then, because only two months later both Memaw and Pawpaw were put into a nursing home and I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to take this shot if I would have procrastinated. I learned that families are always important to take pictures of, because one day they will be gone from the earth and pictures will help you remember times you had with them. I want others to learn the importance in the art of photography, especially whenever it involves special events in one’s lifetime. |

A great family image. This shot shows a lot of emotion. Tge focus on the man in front, contrasted with the small woman in back is very powerful. |
