Title: #5 Reason to ROAR
Category: video max90sec
Grade Level: 11-12

Description: The purpose of this particular project was for a K-IRV Top Ten Reasons to ROAR segment. I began my project by filming Micah (actor) with a camcorder in a green screen that is in the K-IRV studio. I downloaded pictures from different places using Google images and upload them in Ulead software. I uploaded royal free music to my project so the background could have the same theme with the pictures. After I uploaded all the pictures, music, and video, I used the Ulead software in order to chrome the green wall from the Video with the Chroma key in the software so he could appear in the pictures. When I finalize all the editing in Ulead I uploaded the project to Movie Maker in order to add the credits and titles and converted the project to a WAV. In the process of this project, I learn how to use the Ulead software and how to edit the video so a person can come out in a background. I would want other people to learn how it can be possible to make someone appear in a picture background by uploading in Ulead software and editing it.

Great job with the green screen. It would have been nice for those of us who are not familiar with ROAR to have some explanation of what it is - maybe in a subtitle. Also, for depth of the storyline, perhaps a visual tie-in with someone reading a book at the start would help. Great job in the explanation. It is very helpful to read a well-written explanation and description of the technology used. Nice video - looks like you had fun with it!

Nice use of green screen. I'm thinking slides to explain the acronym ROAR and a slide/segment showing someone actually reading a book that takes them to a faraway place would enhance this digital story. Flickrcc images are always more in focus than Google Images and are Creative Commons. The credits should include from where the pics and music came. Slow down the slides-can do this in Windows Movie Maker. Have you seen http://www.viddler.com/shareski/videos/1/ ?
