The District Weekly newsletter is published
electronically once per week when Irving ISD is in session
delivering the latest news, student accomplishments and updates.
Periodically,
the Irving ISD may also post additional news advisories.
BoardAction

The BoardAction is posted after each
Irving ISD Board of Trustees meeting with notes from the
board meeting.
News readers (or news aggregators) reduce the
time and effort needed to regularly check websites for updates,
creating a unique information space or "personal newspaper."
Once subscribed to a feed, an aggregator is able to check for
new content at user-determined intervals and retrieve the
update. The content is sometimes described as being "pulled" to
the subscriber, as opposed to "pushed" as with email. Unlike
recipients of some "pushed" information, the aggregator user can
easily unsubscribe from a feed.
Aggregator features are being built into
portal sites such as
My Yahoo!, Google
Reader, NewsGator, My AOL, modern web browsers, and email programs such as
Microsoft Outlook.
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication".
Other names for RSS Feeds are Web feeds, XML feeds, RSS
channels, and syndicated content.
