Nimitz High School (Irving, Texas)
Chester W. Nimitz High School is a public high school in the Irving Independent School District. It was named for U.S. Navy Admiral Chester W. Nimitz. Nimitz High School is famous for its Academic Decathlon team, which won the state championship in 2004 and has consistently placed in the top 10 in state competition.
