Phase Changes in Matter

Objective:  Students will use the Gizmos application to visualize and analyze what happens during phase changes at a molecular level.

Procedure:  Students will follow the instructions to complete the Phase Changes Gizmo.  Ask students to open the Phase Changes site and click on Launch Gizmo. Students will complete the worksheet as they do the Gizmo. Many students will NOT read the instructions page and get lost, so make sure to overemphasize the importance of reading the instructions. You only need a class set of instructions.
