Linear Functions

Lesson Description
Solving Linear Equations Students will be practicing solving linear equations involving variables on both sides and/or distributive property.
Writing Equations of Linear Functions The student will write the equation of a linear function when given 2 points.
Cognitive Tutor - Solving Linear Equations Student will practice solving linear equations on Cognitive Tutor.
Cognitive Tutor - Writing and Graphing Linear Equations Student will write an equation of a problem situation, find the slope and y-intercept, and plot these on a graph.
Finding Intercepts from Standard Form The students will be using a graphing program to find the x and y intercepts of the graph of a linear equation given in standard form.
Graphing Linear Inequalities The student will be reviewing slope and y-intercept and investigating the relationship between the inequality sign and the nature of the shaded region in the graph of the inequality.
