Masses and Springs

Objective:  A realistic mass and spring laboratory. Hang masses from springs and adjust the spring stiffness and damping. You can even slow time. Transport the lab to different planets. A chart shows the kinetic, potential, and thermal energy for each spring.

Procedure:  Students will follow the instructions on the handout, using the Masses and Springs Simulation.  If you don't like this particular activity, teachers have created many different handouts to go with this simulation.  You can find them here.
