Students will compare and contrast the climate and vegetation of
the US and Canada and make connections with demographic
information. Students will learn the types of extreme
weather in the US, locate areas where they occur, and
discuss the impact of an extreme weather event in that area. |

Students will learn important dates in U.S. history. |

Bill of Rights |
Students will learn the Bill of
Rights and be able to put them into the language of
today. They will get a better understanding of the Bill of
Rights by comparing the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to other countries' governmental documents. |

Travel Canada |
Have you ever thought about taking a trip across Canada? Well, here is your chance! You and a group of classmates will be part of a team that collects information for making maps in order to prepare a magazine article for the Canadian Geographic. You will also prepare a tourist guide for a province or territory that your team finds particularly interesting. |

Who Cares About Immigration? |
Students will complete a
WebQuest to become informed about the issue of immigration - especially immigration from México and Latin América.
They will develop an informed opinion about this issue. |
