The Five Themes of Geography

Lesson Description
Five Themes Students will actively create maps for understanding the five themes of geography.
Developing or Developed Nations Students will be able to understand the difference between developed, developing, and transition countries.  Students will be able to analyze country demographics to determine its type.
Applying the Five Themes Students will learn about the five themes of geography. They will have to be able to apply each of the five themes to real life applications.
Climograph Detective Students will study climographs, learning how temperature and precipitation affect climate. They will use technology and given data to create climographs using a spreadsheet.
Global Interdependence Students will analyze the production of products commonly used in America. Students will use this is analyze to understand how countries around the world are connected through economies.
Diamond Thieves Students will demonstrate an understanding of latitude and longitude.
Plotting Latitude and Longitude Students will practice plotting points on a chart.
Location Lesson Students will understand the concepts of absolute and relative location in a way that allows him/her to comprehend and apply the fundamentals of latitude and longitude.
